So I decided to run for Treasurer to be on the Student Advocate Association (SAA) Board for 2011-2012. This is the organization that I've been apart of since we moved here. It's for the spouses of all the med students. It has about 150 members. It's been so fun being in this association. I've met so many people. They do so many things that keep you involved. They do a project night once a month, children's social, adult nights, playgroup for the kids, and much much more. This year a friend and I were in charge of putting on the Annual Fun Run (the 33rd to be exact). It has been so much fun. I posted a pic of the shirts we designed for all those who register. The race is this Saturday. We have about 70 registered so far and have an awesome raffle for after the race with donations given from around Kirksville. We couldn't have done it without all of our volunteers, so thank you :). Anyway, so election night was last night and I'm now the Treasurer. Anybody would've done a great job at this position though. I'm excited to serve on the board with all those who are also apart. I posted a picture below. This next school year is going to be a blast!!
