Fun with Grandma & Grandpa A.

My parents and cousin Chance drove out here to spend a week with the kids and I to help unpack and to have some fun while Nate is at his preceptorship. They got here Saturday around 7pm and met us at the hospital. Jocie got real sick and couldn't keep anything down. Come to find out she had viral pneumonia and was admitted Friday at 4. We got to leave Saturday at 11pm. She's doing lots better and we've been having lots of fun. The kids LOVE having their grandma & grandpa here. My dad showed me how to make our fam recipe popcorn on Monday. We made: Butterscotch, Marshmallow, Carmel & Banana. They were delicious. Then on Tuesday we went to Nauvoo. It was a lot of fun and the kids did great. Then on Wednesday we unpacked some and went to the lake. Thursday we went and saw KungFu Panda 2 and then they got to experience the Missouri thunderstorms with the power going out. Friday we went to a couple of boutiques that I really like in Centerville IA. That was a fun day as well. They just left this morning and took Tanner home with them and then the rest of us will fly out on the 19th after Nate's preceptorship. Tanner is my little buddy. After they pulled out of the driveway, I have to say that I came in the house and got a bit teary. I will miss my boy! He will have SOOO much fun though. Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun week and for all of your help. I love you so much! My sis-in-law Stacey will be here Monday for all of next week. See you soon sis :)

Tanner took this one and thought it was SO cool :)

Last Few Days @ 210 S. High...YAY!!!

There are no words to explain my excitement to be out of our house and into our new place. Here are some pics of our last few days at our now called "old place". Stay tuned after the pics of the list of memories from this place. Had to blog it so I could look back on it someday and get a good laugh.... or cry :)
He's looking at the camera....RARE!
I love this BOY!
Getting so Big
Nate enjoying his new lightsaber
Tanner got his 1st bike :)
He picked up on it SOOO quick and loves it!
Sweet shark bike picked out by the T-Man himself
"Double thumbs-up Mom"
He fell and this was his sad face afterwards...Priceless!
Goodbye ya ol' house!
Seriously.... EVERY time I went in that basement I would feel like this, like something was going to fall and attack me.

I will NOT miss this basement!!!!!
Are there bodies behind those bags or what???? YIKES!
The kids being troopers while I was busy packing.
Memories at 210 S. High (our old place):
1. 2nd night we moved in, the tornado sirens went off in the middle of the night and we had NO IDEA what to do. Now we do, so good learning experience.
2. Nate got a bike and a week later it was stolen.... off our front porch - not cool! (1st call to KPD)
3. I got some CREEPY phone calls (too creepy to even say) so Nate studied from home for a few months since we were both mad and me major freaked out. (2nd call to KPD)
4. Our car was broken into one night. Strange this was nothing was stolen. They just took everything out of the glove box and scattered it on the seats....ONLY in K-Ville.
5. MY FAVORITE... While Nate and I were watching a movie one night someone tried breaking into our house while we were there and yes there was a light on by the window they tried to break in. I saw the guy running across the street and after Nate checked out the situation and yelling profanity at the dude he took off and tried to find him.(3rd call to the KPD). They said he must have been high or drunk because who does that, seriously. Nate and I decided that the 3% crime rate that K-Ville has was at our house :)

Things I will not miss:
1. Doing laundry in that nasty basement
2. Having to put something behind the doors because they wouldn't shut on their own
3. Paint chipping off the walls
4. Termites
5. Taking the drawers out of Jocie's dresser and everything off the top of the dresser every time I ran on the treadmill because it would shake them open and the stuff on top would fall off due to the crooked floor.

*****The only thing I will miss*****
Having my bank in my backyard and the post office as my neighbor. That was so convenient but who cares because we are out and I'm SO happy. I really do love our new place. This will be a great year!!!
