Tonsils and Adenoids OUT!!

Tanner got his tonsils and adenoids out July 26th. He needed them out due to his LOUD snoring at nights and he'd also stop breathing for long periods of time during his sleep... (SO scary and sad). So he never really got a full night sleep until lately, now that he is feeling better. I now check on him because he is SOOOOO quiet. It is so nice for him that he can get some sleep and breath through his nose. The morning we went in for his surgery (we woke up at 6:30), he said "I'm going to be so tough huh Mom". We got there and while we were back in the ER waiting for his surgery, they said he could put in a movie until they were ready for him. He picked Charlie and Chocolate Factory. You know the very beginning part that shows all the chocolate and candy being made??? Yeah, that's about as far as we got. He would say "MMMMMMM", "oohh what is that Mom, Yum""Wow, look at that". Then he would have me rewind it and we watched it over and over about 15 times. It was so cute. The nurses laughed and thought he was so funny. He made us all hungry for chocolate. Anyway, they gave him some meds and he got pretty loopy and then brought him back. He came back and just wanted to cuddle with me. He kept saying "I can't swallow Mom". He only cried a little and then the rest of the day ate about 6 popsicles. I thought "this won't be so bad, what were they talking about". The next day he was real sore and it the next day even more sore. It was so hard to see him like that. He barely ate anything for about 9 days. For the most part he did really well. I was so proud of him. THANK YOU to everyone who sent him a get well card, gift, came over to see him/us and see how things were going. It not only meant a TON to him but it meant a lot to me too. Here are some pics from like day 5 to 9. The first few days he was too sore for me to want to take any pics. Good job Tanner - Mom is so proud of you and SO glad you are sleeping and breathing better!!

Enjoying popsicles with his sis

Jocie was so concerned for her brother. He wasn't talking constantly and was SO quiet. She's never seen that side of him. She could tell something was wrond and would always go sit by him and give him loves. Tanner appreciated it most of the time. He's touching her cheek saying "love you Joc"

Paper airplanes was one of his saving graces. He wanted to do this everyday, so we did. Whatever put a smile on his face :)
